Memory Foam vs. Latex Mattresses?

While Memory Foam Mattresses have become popular over the years, especially as manufacturers like Tempurpedic have invested in such an aggressive ad campaign in recent past, there are some things about memory foam to note prior to incorporating this style mattress in your RV...

1. Memory foam mattresses contour to your bodies weight, absorbing you into the mattresses padding. Keep in mind though, should you move in the midst of your sleep, memory foam doesn't bounce back for quite some time. It stays molded for a significant amount of time to the shape of your body, which can leave a low spot in the mattress as you shift in your sleep.

2. Memory foam also absorbs heat, and becomes mushy in warm climates, and hard and stiff in colder weather.

On the flip side, Latex Mattresses bounce back when you shift from one comfortable position to another, and with a bamboo membrane atop the padded topper, the mattress remains consistently cozy in any climate.

Also, consider whether the mattress can be flipped or not! Most memory foam mattresses can't, while our latex mattresses can be flipped and rotated to maintain comfort.

RV Bras

Typically offered in black, this custom,
gold bra was made to match the RV's paint job!
Until you drive an RV for an extended period of time, you never truly appreciate just how much debris there can be on America's highways.  While cleaner than most countries, the rocks and littered garbage catapulted through the air by passing motorists make for the perfect recipe of a damaged front RV fender or grill.

Those who have suffered such accidents or have learned from others' perils have turned to RV bras (or masks, as they are also commonly referred to) to shield their investment from such danger.  For most, this simple blend of  vinyl pulled tight along the front of their RV is the answer to their problem, offering unmatched protection and a stylish complement to their already well-manicured RV.

We, at ROUTE 66 RV, offer the best quality RV bras on the market for both RV motorhomes and their respective tow cars.

With hundreds of templates from various coaches we have outfitted over the years, our list is extensive and growing by the day.  These handmade bras are constructed with the finest quality vinyl with soft inner liners that won't scratch your paint.  Using button and t-snaps to attach the bra to your coach, you are ensured a tight fit.

If you are in need of a new bra for your motorhome, simply check out our RV Bra page on our website.  There, click on the options to see the latest bra templates, searching by Year or by Model

Then, pick up the phone and give us a call at (800) 670-7287 for more information.  If you prefer e-mail, send us a message with your name, shipping address, year/make/model of your RV, and the Model # of the bra you would like to purchase, and we'll outline the procedure to order and the costs involved.

If you don't see yours listed, don't worry!  We can measure your coach, and design a bra specifically for you and your needs.  Simply bring your coach to our facility in Buena Park (by appointment), and we'll arrange to have your coach measured.  The bra will be ready in just a couple short days!

RV Carpet Stock

RV Carpet Installation
Since 1976, we at ROUTE 66 RV have truly become the most trusted authority on carpet replacement in aftermarket RVs and motorhomes.  What made us unique is that unlike many of our Service Department copy cats, we descend from the carpet and flooring industry.

Operating under our parent company, Pat's Discount Carpet & Flooring, Inc., we have the most extensive line of products available for RV owners in need of the perfect carpet for their motorhome.  From Karastan to Stanton, Kane Carpets to Tuftex, we have the market cornered, meaning you will definitely find the right color, pattern, or style you need to make your RV a reflection of you.

Despite all the lines we offer, ClearTouch carpet fiber from Shaw Floors has proved to be a real winner for many of our RV customers.  What makes ClearTouch so unique is two-fold: it's stain resistance and it's unrivaled value.

Most nylon carpets are very stain prone, but their versatility in style makes them desirable to work with when manufacturing carpet.  When Stainmaster and others began adding stain resistant coatings to their nylon carpets, nylon became the most highly sought after carpet around.  The problem is that these coatings don't always resist every stain, and nylon, a crude oil derived product, is consistently rising in cost.

ClearTouch by comparison starts with an inherently stain resistant base.  The same topical additive to stain resistant nylon carpets, known by Shaw as R2X, is also applied to the ClearTouch styles to add an extra layer of stain protection.  As a result, this carpet maintains a Lifetime Stain Resistance Warranty against Food and Drink spills and Pet Stains (an unmatched mark by any competitors).

Furthermore, 25% of ClearTouch fiber is derived from plastic bottle recycling, meaning a much lower cost than crude oil dependent carpets.  It's truly one of the antithesis to the rule, you can Go Green without breaking the bank, keeping the Green in your wallet while helping the environment you love to explore in your RV.

Give us a call today at (800) 670-7287 to find out more about new carpet in your RV from ClearTouch!
